For all of us, the blue and yellow flag is not just a flag. It is a symbol of courage of many generations of Ukrainians who fought for the independence of their state, it is an example of the heroism of our defenders, it is a tribute to the memory and respect of people who worked for the development of our country.
This holiday is also an important reminder that we, Ukrainians, should be proud of our country, its multifaceted culture and traditions. Many nationalities and ethnic groups live in Ukraine. Yes, in many ways we are different, in many ways extremely similar, but we are always united by one flag - the flag of freedom, honor and dignity.
Today in Ukrainian cities and towns, where the blue and yellow flag is flying, people live freely and, most importantly, peacefully. I am sure that in time our flag will proudly return to the whole territory of Donbass and Crimea!
