The Ukrainian port industry has great potential that needs to be realized to the maximum. Chairperson of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Dmytro Razumkov emphasized this during the visit to the Sea Commercial Port “Yuzhny” in Odesa Oblast.
“Ports in Odesa, Mykolayiv, Yuzhny have great potential. However, in my opinion, it is not used to the maximum,” Dmytro Razumkov noted.
The Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada also noted that creating conditions for attracting investments in the port industry is one of the priorities in the work of the Parliament. “Even in the context of the coronavirus pandemic, maritime communications continued to operate. Today we can talk a lot about transportation, but transportation by sea is one of the main ones,” he said.
Dmytro Razumkov also noted the activities of the Yuzhny port, which recently turned 43 years old. “Despite the fact that Yuzhny is the youngest port, it is one of the most powerful in the country,” he added.
The Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada got acquainted with the production facilities of the port, as well as presented awards to the employees of the enterprise.
“You are doing a lot for the city and Odesa region, as well as for the whole country," Dmytro Razumkov stressed.
