Ukraine must strengthen the development of the domestic ship repair and building industry. Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Dmytro Razumkov emphasized this during the visit to the ‘Nibulon’ plant as part of the trip to Mykolayiv Region.  
According to Dmytro Razumkov, the development of the shipbuilding industry will help improve the economic situation in the region. “Creation of the ship's hull, welding processes – all this can be done in our country. We must strive to use as many components of Ukrainian origin as possible. Because it will help to provide salaries, jobs, tax revenues, regional development and, of course, attract investment,” said the Speaker.
During his visit to the ‘Nibulon’ plant, the Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada also spoke about legislative initiatives that will promote the development of Ukrainian industry.
According to Dmytro Razumkov, the Parliament will soon consider the draft law “On Industrial Parks” to simplify the creation and stimulation of their activities. Dmytro Razumkov also mentioned the draft law “On Public Procurement” to create conditions for sustainable development and modernization of domestic industry, which, according to the Speaker of the Parliament, needs feedback from the shipbuilding industry. “If we are talking about the draft law on localization, then here, too, you need to get feedback from business, in particular, shipbuilding,” said the Speaker.
