Ukraine is grateful to Greece for its continued support for territorial integrity and sovereignty, as well as for the protection of international rights. This was stated by Chairperson of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Dmytro Razumkov during the meeting with Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Hellenic Republic Nikos Dendias.
During the conversation, the parties discussed the security issue. According to the Speaker of the Ukrainian Parliament, the situation along the Ukrainian-Russian border remains tense. "That is why the support of international partners is important for us. It has repeatedly proved its effectiveness," said Dmytro Razumkov.
The Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada also stressed the importance of developing inter-parliamentary relations and deepening cooperation on various international platforms with Greece.
"I hope that as soon as the situation with the coronavirus improves, we will return to the usual format of cooperation that was previously observed between our parliaments," said Dmytro Razumkov.
At the end of the meeting, the Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada wished the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Hellenic Republic a successful and efficient working trip to Odesa. "We are always happy to welcome real friends at home. Ukrainian-Greek relations are united not only by centuries of history, but also, I am sure, by a common successful future," Dmytro Razumkov said.
