On the International Children's Day, Chairperson of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Dmytro Razumkov met with members of the Regional Council of Children of Kyiv Region. The event was also attended by Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada's Committee on Education, Science and Innovation Serhiy Babak. They answered children's questions and talked to them on various topics, including leadership issues.
"You can't be a leader without a team. Because then you will not be able to show yourself and there will be no one who will help move forward. Leadership is a tool. It is important to understand why you are doing this and what results you can achieve," Dmytro Razumkov said.
Serhiy Babak added that one of the main elements of leadership is self-development. "Thanks to this, you will be able to succeed and contribute to the development of our country. Our task as the state is to give you equal and worthy opportunities for self-development," said the Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada's Committee on Education, Science and Innovation.
During the conversation, the Speaker of the Parliament stressed that the young generation is the most important thing for the every state, because it is its future. "You are leaders in your schools. Maybe one day one of you will be sitting in this hall, in the place of the leadership of the Parliament. However, it depends on you, on how you will work and strive to achieve your goals, " he said.
Dmytro Razumkov also added that every government official works for the future of children. "I would like you to remember this and stay here, build our country and not seek fate in other countries," he said.
At the end of the meeting, Dmytro Razumkov congratulated the children on the holiday and wished the realization of dreams, success in learning and inspiration. "First of all, I want to wish health to you and your family and friends, because it is the most valuable thing in life," said the Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
