Chairperson of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Dmytro Razumkov supports the development of the draft law to improve the anti-corruption legislation on the issue of declaration. He stated this during the Conciliation Council of Parliamentary Factions and Groups.
"The President of Ukraine has initiated an amendment to the Law 'On Prevention of Corruption' regarding assistants and advisers of the Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada. In my opinion, this is an absolutely reasonable proposal," he said.
At the same time, the Speaker noted that the draft law should apply to employees of the patronage service of the Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada, as well as patronage services of the First Deputy and Deputy Speakers of the Verkhovna Rada, members of the Cabinet of Ministers and the President's Office.
According to Dmytro Razumkov, such a bill will meet all the expectations of Ukrainian citizens regarding the transparency of the government. "This must be done to be completely clear and does not provoke public debates," he said.
Dmytro Razumkov stated that he would appeal to the Prime Minister of Ukraine for the prompt development of the bill. "I think we can do it at the level of MPs. If necessary, I am personally ready to join the preparation of this bill. I hope it will be supported and will come into force as soon as possible," the Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada stressed.
