At the beginning of the Coronavirus pandemic, business helped the state counter the threat of COVID-19, and this assistance was critically important. This was stated by Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada Dmytro Razumkov during the meeting with members of the Ukrainian Entrepreneurs Union.
"In the first weeks of the pandemic, when it was difficult to find resources, businesses, from small to large, helped Ukrainian doctors, hospitals and the country resist COVID-19," he said.
The Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada also added that the representatives of the government, local self-government and business should unite efforts to meet modern challenges and cooperate as partners.
"Today, neither business nor government will be able to cope with all the obstacles on their own. Only by joining forces, helping each other, we will be able to achieve the maximum result," said Dmytro Razumkov.
At the same time, the Speaker of the Parliament noted that the crisis is not only a difficulty but also an opportunity. "For business and the state, the crisis can have two options: either a fall or an opportunity to grow, to find new ways and achievements," he said.
At the end of the meeting, the Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada congratulated the Union of Ukrainian Entrepreneurs on its fifth anniversary. "I wish you to find the strength and opportunities always move forward," said Dmytro Razumkov.
