Ukraine and Georgia have made their European and Euro-Atlantic choices. Our state continues to pay a very high price for it. This was stated by Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada Dmytro Razumkov during the meeting with Vice Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia David Zalkaliani.
The parties discussed the situation in eastern Ukraine. The Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada reminded of the recent concentration of troops on the border with our country and stressed that the joint work and support of various countries, including Georgia, allowed to resolve this issue.
"Ukraine appreciates Georgia's support and position on our temporarily occupied territories of Crimea and Donbas. The similar situation is close to your country, so we really appreciate this unchanging position," said the Speaker of the Parliament.
Issues of Inter-Parliamentary cooperation were also discussed during the meeting. Dmytro Razumkov noted that the coronavirus pandemic had affected the whole world, but he hoped that the cooperation between the Parliaments of Ukraine and Georgia would deepen. "We are always glad to meet real friends in the Verkhovna Rada. Georgia has repeatedly confirmed that it is a true friend," he said.
