The state needs educated, professional citizens. This was stated by Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada Dmytro Razumkov during the meeting with representatives of higher education institutions of Khmelnytskyi region and heads of student councils. He added that today it is important for our state that young people stay in Ukraine.
“Everything we do, we do for children to make them happy in
Ukraine. For me personally, as for each of you, it is important that they stay
here. And this can be achieved when they see their future and connect it with
their state," said Dmytro Razumkov.
The Speaker of the Parliament noted that higher education
institutions form the basis on which the future of Ukraine is based. He
reminded that the Verkhovna Rada has recently introduced awards for school
leavers who are most successful in external independent evaluation. 30
graduates with the best external evaluation results will be able to receive UAH
100,000 in awards. "This is an incentive for children to continue their
studies and stay here," he said.
Separately, the Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada thanked the USAID RADA Program for organizing the Rada.Info exhibition dedicated to the activities of the legislature as part of the Parliamentary Days in Khmelnytskyi Region. "Before the pandemic, we implemented many joint projects with the USAID RADA Program in the Parliament. We had excursions, involving young people, students. I think it gave an incentive for someone to move into politics, public opinion leaders to move forward at their level. Unfortunately, COVID contributes limitation", noted Dmytro Razumkov and said that the first exhibition 'Rada.Info' was launched today. "If you can't get to the Verkhovna Rada, it will come to you," he said.
