Ukraine's judicial system needs to be reformed. This was stated during the briefing by Chairperson of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Dmytro Razumkov.
According to the Speaker of the Parliament, the reform of the judiciary is necessary to attract investment to Ukraine. “Now I am talking not only about foreigners who could potentially be investors, but also about Ukrainian business. Businesses are sometimes wary of investing in Ukraine's economy. Not because of the war or high taxes, but because any business wants to be sure that it will be protected,” the Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada said.
According to Dmytro Razumkov, this plenary week may consider the Draft Law on Amendments to the Law of Ukraine "On the Judiciary and the Status of Judges" and some laws of Ukraine on resuming the work of the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine. "This bill is a part of the judicial reform. It cannot fully address all issues related to judicial reform. However, we need to start with something,” the Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine emphasized.
