From tomorrow's plenary session MPs will vote by means of the touch button. This was stated by Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada Dmytro Razumkov during the Conciliation Council of parliamentary factions and groups.
" Last week, work was completed on the introduction of the touch button system in the session hall of the Verkhovna Rada. It has passed the inspection, and tomorrow we will be able to use it during the voting," said the Speaker of the Parliament.According to him, the use of the touch button meets all standards, and all discussion issues were resolved during testing. "We have an official act on the possibility of using the touch button, so from the next plenary session we will be able to demonstrate the operation of the system, which will not allow 'button-pressing' in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine," added Dmytro Razumkov.
In addition, the Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada noted that the introduction of such a system removes the issue of binding the registration card of a MP, as it makes it impossible to vote from more than one workplace at a time.
Due to the introduction of the touch button, the Speaker of the Parliament offered the MPs to test its work before the sitting. "I hope that everyone is satisfied with the innovation, as it removes any discussions about 'button-pressing', but it does not remove from the agenda the issue of further modernization of this system," said Dmytro Razumkov.
