The law adopted by the Verkhovna Rada provides for the allocation of UAH 1.4 billion from the State Budget of Ukraine for compensation in connection with the increase in electricity tariffs. The relevant budget program will address the payment of electricity to the population living in residential buildings equipped with electric heating installations, as well as in apartment buildings that are not gasified with natural gas and in which there are no or do not operate district heating systems. In addition, the program will apply to large, foster families and family-type orphanages.
On January 29, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted the law and instructed the Speaker of the Parliament to sign it immediately.
