On this day, 29 years ago, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine approved the blue-yellow national flag as the state flag of Ukraine. But it became a real symbol of freedom much earlier, because under the blue-yellow flag, key events in our history took place. Він уособлює багаторічну боротьбу українців за свою територіальну цілісність та суверенітет. It embodies the long struggle of Ukrainians for their territorial integrity and sovereignty.

Today our flag unites Ukrainians both inside the country and abroad. Our common task is to protect and respect it, and to do everything in our power to ensure that the state symbol of independent Ukraine always proudly stood the entire territory of our country.
