The whole world today remembers the victims of the terrible tragedy – the Holocaust. One of the terrible symbols of the Holocaust was the Auschwitz camp, the largest Nazi concentration camp. 76 years ago, on January 27, 1945, its prisoners were released.

Those who survived the horrors of the concentration camp will never forget it. The torture suffered by prisoners not only killed more than a million people, but also left generations with mutilated destinies.

We cannot turn back time and change the course of those events. However, we can prevent these worst pages from happening again in the future. The memory of the many innocent victims should not be erased from history. It must protect us from the recurrence of such tragedies. However, just remembering them is not enough. Each of us must make every effort to prevent the spread of any form of discrimination in society.
