Congratulations of Chairperson of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Dmytro Razumkov on the Day of Unity of Ukraine

Today we celebrate an important holiday – the Day of Unity of Ukraine. On this day 102 years ago, the Act of Unification (“Act Zluky”) was proclaimed, uniting the Ukrainian People’s Republic and the Western Ukrainian People’s Republic into a single state. This event played an important role in Ukrainian state-building and occupies a special place in the history of our country.

The proclaimed act was not only an important legal document, it confirmed the desire of Ukrainians to unite and live together in a single and independent state. We had to go through a difficult path for Ukraine to become independent and sovereign.

Many years later, since the proclamation of the Act of Unification, we are again facing many challenges. However, I am sure that thanks to joint efforts we will be able to overcome them. Our strength is in unity! And this is what will help us create a better future for new generations!
