Chairperson of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Dmytro Razumkov Presents State Awards for Significant Personal Contribution to Building the Independence of the Ukrainian State

Chairperson of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Dmytro Razumkov presented state awards for significant personal contribution to state-building, building the independence of the Ukrainian State, active public and political activity and on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the Declaration of State Sovereignty of Ukraine.

In particular, the Order of Freedom was awarded to the MP`s of the I, III, IV, V, VI, VIII convocations of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Anatoliy Matvienko (posthumously) and the MP`s of the I, II, IV convocations of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Mykola Porovsky;

The Order of Prince Yaroslav the Wise of the 1st degree was awarded to Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine in 1990-1991, President of Ukraine in 1991-1994 Leonid Kravchuk;

The Order of Merit of the 1st degree was awarded to MP of the 1st convocation of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Oleksandr Barabash.

The Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada noted their high merits and stressed that “only a small part of the achievements that have been made are appreciated today.” “But the most important reward for every politician, for every statesman is not a state award, but an assessment given by people living in our State. This is something that can never be lost,” noted Dmytro Razumkov.
