Today, Ukraine honors the liquidators of the Chornobyl accident. We remember those whose work helped to overcome the consequences of the catastrophe. These are thousands of firefighters, builders, military, law enforcement officers, medics, station workers. Our sincere thanks to them!
The Chornobyl accident was a lesson for the whole world and showed how high the price of miscalculation can be and how destructive a lie can be. Everyone who selflessly saved people from the catastrophe from the first minutes made a very important contribution to the elimination of the consequences of the accident.
Unfortunately, many participants in those events had to pay a high price for it. To save the next generations: not only Ukrainians, but the whole of Europe, some of them sacrificed their own health and others – their lives. Eternal memory to those who were taken away by a terrible tragedy. Your self-sacrifice and courageous deed will never be forgotten!
