The draft Law No. 4460-d on establishing criminal liability for declaring inaccurate information is a compromise. Its goal is to restore e-declaration as soon as possible and prevent the possibility of not entering data next year.
This was announced by the Chairperson of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Dmytro Razumkov during the briefing following today's sitting of the Parliament of Ukraine and he added that the bill will be signed early next week.
“Allowing the working group to engage in in-depth discussions means wasting time and thus losing the ability to declare, which will put at risk that someone may not declare and will not be responsible for it, remarked the Speaker of the Parliament.
According to him, legislative initiatives of the Parliament, the President, the parliamentary factions and groups were worked out to find a solution, so this adopted bill became a compromise.
Dmytro Razumkov noted that in order to overcome the constitutional crisis, in addition to the return of criminal liability for false declarations, it is necessary to create conditions for the normal operation of the NAPC, taking into account the positions reflected in the Constitutional Court decision and ensure balance and predictability.
In addition, the Speaker thanked everyone for their active work and support of the law.
