“Ukraine and Poland have always found a common language not only at the level of parliaments, but also at the level of states and people. We also had common challenges that we overcame,” Dmytro Razumkov stressed.
The Speaker thanked President Andrzej Duda for Poland's unshakable and exemplary position in support of Ukraine's territorial integrity and noted that Poland is Ukraine's strategic partner and advocate in the EU.
In addition, Dmytro Razumkov stated that the issue of national security in energy is no less fundamental. “Implementation of energy projects will be useful for both countries. This will strengthen our cooperation in the security sphere and energy sector,” he said.
Discussing the situation in Belarus, Dmytro Razumkov noted that the Parliament of Ukraine had adopted a resolution clearly defining the position of our state. “Belarus must be an independent and democratic state. And state power must be recognized inside and outside the country,” added the Chairperson of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
Dmytro Razumkov thanked to the Polish colleagues for active cooperation at the inter-parliamentary level and on international platforms. “The Ukraine-Poland-Lithuania Interparliamentary Assembly is an effective mechanism that we will be able to use in full force after overcoming the pandemic,” Dmytro Razumkov noted and expressed the hope that Poland and Ukraine would deepen the strategic line of cooperation.
Deputy Chairperson of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Olena Kondratiuk also took part in the meeting.
