First Deputy Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ruslan Stefanchuk during the Conciliation Council of Deputy Factions expressed his sincere condolences to the families and relatives of the victims in the crash of AN-26 Transport Aircraft of the Ukrainian Air Force. The First Vice Speaker of the Parliament called for every effort to clarify the circumstances of the tragedy and support the families of the victims, providing them with the necessary assistance from the state.
Due to the increase in the number of Coronavirus cases in Ukraine, in particular in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Ruslan Stefanchuk proposed to revise the draft law “On the grounds and procedure for holding plenary sittings of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and sittings of the committees of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine by videoconference for the period of measures aimed at preventing the emergence and spread of coronavirus (COVID-19)”, which remained unconsidered.
Ruslan Stefanchuk said that the following extremely important bills for European integration would be considered during the week:
- “On Inland Water Transport” (No. 1182-1-d);
- “On Electronic Communications” (No. 3014);
- “On the Safety and Quality of Donor Blood and Blood Components” (No. 3648).
First Deputy Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine expressed hope for fruitful cooperation of MPs in order to ensure compliance of these bills with European standards of legislation and taking into account national traditions and realities.
Ruslan Stefanchuk stressed the need to determine the status of readiness of the draft law “On the Bureau of Economic Security of Ukraine” and the draft law “On Democracy through an All-Ukrainian Referendum.”
“We desperately need to concentrate as much as possible and spend these allotted plenary weeks with maximum efficiency,” noted Ruslan Stefanchuk.
