During the Conciliation Council of parliamentary factions and groups, Dmytro Razumkov, Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, expressed his condolences to the families of crewmembers and cadets who died in the AN-26 Transport Aircraft of the Ukrainian Air Force crash last Friday.

Dmytro Razumkov also noted that this week Ukraine will honor the memory of the victims of the Babyn Yar tragedy.

The Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada expressed concern over the escalation of the conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan and called on the parties to return to peaceful dialogue in order to save the lives of citizens of both countries.

The Speaker of the Parliament announced that this week the Verkhovna Rada will consider a number of important bills, in particular, the draft Law of Ukraine “On Inland Water Transport”. “This bill, which has been being drafted by the committee for many months, has received many amendments from MPs. It is important that the amendments make the bill better, and not block work on it,” said the Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.

Dmytro Razumkov reminded that on Sunday Ukraine would celebrate the World Teachers’ Day. According to him, today teachers is on a par with doctors and law enforcement officers, as educators are at the forefront of protecting children from the Coronavirus.

Finally, the Speaker called on the deputies to work and make decisions based on the interests of the state, not individual political forces.
