“The Constitutional Court and the Verkhovna Rada do work together to protect the interests of the State and the Organic Law,” -- Dmytro Razumkov

The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Dmytro Razumkov participated in an international online conference on mutual achievements of the European Commission for Democracy through Law and bodies of constitutional justice and on interpretation problems in constitutional proceedings, timed to the 24th anniversary of the Constitution of Ukraine and the 30th anniversary of the Venice Commission.

Dmytro Razumkov congratulated the President of the Venice Commission Mr Gianni Buquicchio on its 30th anniversary and noted that Ukraine would soon also celebrate an important anniversary - 30 years of the national parliamentarism.

The Speaker thanked the Venice Commission for many years of assistance in improving Ukrainian legislation. "I’m also grateful for the consideration of my request to prepare an opinion on the draft Law of Ukraine "On the all-Ukrainian referendum" as urgent," the Chairman stressed.

Dmytro Razumkov put emphasis on the fact that cooperation between the Constitutional Court and the Ukrainian parliament is always constructive and effective. He also highlighted the court’s important role in discerning legal gaps and loopholes.

The Speaker assured the conferees of the Parliament's readiness for further deepening relations and strengthening cooperation.
