The sitting of the Ukraine-Poland Parliamentary Assembly will be held on June 23, 2020 – at 11:00-15:00 Kyiv Time
The event will be conducted through the use of videoconferencing facilities and co-chaired by the Deputy Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Olena Kondratiuk and the Deputy Marshal of the Sejm of the Republic of Poland Ryszard Terlecki.
The inter-parliamentary dialogue will be transmittеd from Rada’s conference hall to Sejm’s hall and be additionally broadcast by the Parliamentary Channel “Rada TV”.
During the assembly, MPs will discuss the following pressing topics of the bilateral relationship:
- actions taken by both parliaments to rebalance economic and social stability disrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic;
- regional security matters (information warfare, cyberattacks and hybrid threats);
- Ukrainian-Polish defence and energy collaboration, development aid and humanitarian assistance;
- bilateral trade and economic relations - infrastructure, customs regulations, border checkpoints, labour migration;
- social development, educational cooperation;
- Ukraine-Poland historical dialogue.
Adoption of a joint declaration of the XII Session of the Ukraine-Poland Parliamentary Assembly is expected as a result of the sitting.
A wrap-up briefing of Olena Kondratiuk (Vice speaker, Assembly Co-Chair) will take place at the Press Centre (M.Hrushevskoho Str., 5) – Third Floor – at 3 p.m.
