On convoking an extraordinary plenary session of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine
The Verkhovna Rada Chairman D.Razumkov has signed a decree on calling a special sitting of the parliament. The event is convened on account of the President V.Zelenskyi’s demand, of the Conciliation Commission’s proposal and in accordance with part eight of Article 19 of the Verkhovna Rada’s rules of procedure. The meeting is to take place at 2:30 p.m. on March 30, 2020.
- The list of issues to be taken up at the sitting:
1. Bill No.3268 amending certain legislative acts of Ukraine regarding the provision of treatment of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19);
2. Bill No.3275 amending certain legislative acts aimed to provide additional social and economic guarantees in relation to the spread of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19);
3. Bill No.3271 amending certain legislative acts of Ukraine concerning the criminalization of exporting (transmitting) anti-epidemic goods outside Ukraine;
4. Bill No.3276 amending Section XI "Transitional Provisions" of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine with regard to specificity of judicial control over the observance of the rights, freedoms and interests of individuals in criminal proceedings and consideration of certain issues in court proceedings during the quarantine period (established by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine to prevent the spread of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19));
5. Bill No.3277 amending the Law of Ukraine "On committees of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine”;
6. Draft resolution No.3278 amending the Verkhovna Rada’s resolution "On certain organizational arrangements of the Verkhovna Rada’s work during the period of quarantine in Ukraine";
7. Dismissal of I.I. Umanskyi from the post of Minister of Finance of Ukraine;
8. Dismissal of I.M. Yemets from the post of Minister of Health of Ukraine;
9. Appointment of S.M. Marchenko as the Minister of Finance of Ukraine;
10.Appointment of M.V. Stepanov as the Minister of Health of Ukraine;
11.Appointment of O.A. Buslavets as the Minister of Energy and Environment Protection of Ukraine;
12.Bill No.3279 amending the Law of Ukraine "On the state budget of Ukraine for 2020”;
13.Bill No.3260 that shortens the term for submission of alternative bills to the draft law of Ukraine altering the area of law which improves some mechanisms for regulation of banking activities.
14.Bill No.3254 amending the Law of Ukraine “On the state budget of Ukraine for 2020” regarding an uninterrupted provision of food to servicemen.
