“It is important that Ukrainian children are able to learn their mother tongue and culture even abroad,” -- Dmytro Razumkov
During his official visit to the Republic of Latvia, the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine visited the Riga Ukrainian secondary school, where he got acquainted with the local education system.
Dmytro Razumkov also noted the important role of the school in educating kids.
“It is up to present-day students what Ukraine and Europe will be like in the future. Therefore, it is very important for children to be able to live and learn at the crossroads of different cultures, to learn their parents' language alongside Latvian one. It broadens their world view and at the same time fosters love and respect to the native state,” the head of parliament emphasized in conclusion.
