The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Andriy Parubiy submitted to the Constitutional Court of Ukraine coalition strength documents, with an appropriate breakdown by factions

During his briefing at the Forum of Central and Eastern European Countries "Via Carpathia", the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine declared he had handed over several important documents to the Constitutional Court of Ukraine. One of them was a document stating the strength of the two factions. The politician stressed that the said document had not been presented at the June 11 session of the Constitutional Court.

Under separate cover, the Chairman handed over MPs’ coalition resignations to boot. Andriy Parubiy added that since its inception there have been more than three hundred parliamentarians in the body of coalition, so after shaving off those to have seceded the remainder would still total two hundred twenty six odd coalitionists.

“This does confirm that at the time of seceding of the "People's Front" faction the coalition existed," the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada underlined. Moreover, the functionability and efficiency of the parliament, in his words, can be visibly reconfirmed by the events of the last days, when the laws on language, on temporary investigation committees, resolutions and decisions were adopted.

"This is another indication that the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine is working, and the idea of ??its dissolution is purely political and has no relation to the legal framework and the rule of law.  The final decision must, however, be made by the court.  All the documents have been filed to the Constitutional Court justices. And I shall take any decision of the Constitutional Court," the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine emphasized.
