Foreign ambassadors, accredited concurrently in Poland and Ukraine, made a visit to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine

On June 7, a group of foreign ambassadors paid a short visit to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine as part of their get-to-know-you tour to Ukraine.

A brief meeting with the ambassadors was held by the Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Andriy Parubiy. He greeted the welcome foreign guests in the walls of the Ukrainian parliament and expressed confidence that their visit would contribute to the further development of bilateral parliamentary relations.

The ambassadors group also met with the head of the Committee on Foreign Affairs Hanna Hopko.  The committee head informed the distinguished foreign guests about Ukraine’s main achievements and problems in implementing reforms, the struggle against the Russian aggression and the implementation of the public policy towards membership in NATO and the EU, and also answered the questions of the diplomats.

Mariia Ionova, a deputy head of the Committee on European Integration, also took part in the meeting. She emphasized the importance of keeping the course of Ukraine towards European and Euro-Atlantic integration and thanked the guests for supporting Ukraine’s territorial integrity.

In the end, there was held a short excursion tour over the main building of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
