The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Andriy Parubiy took part in nationwide public events to commemorate victims of the Holodomor in Ukraine

On November 24, together with the entire world Ukraine honours the memory of victims of the Holodomor 1932-33.

The Parliament’s Chairman A.Parubiy made a visit to the National museum “Holodomor victims’ Memorial”, that preserves the memory of Holodomor victims and highlights the history of the genocide of the Ukrainian nation in 1932-1933, and took part in the commemorative developments held in Mystetskyi Arsenal with the participation of the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko, foreign heads of State, the Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Hroisman, dignitaries and officials, members of parliament, representatives of the clergy and the public.

After the speech, the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko announced a nationwide moment of silence.
