Opening the meeting of the Conciliation Board on November 19, the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Andriy Parubiy said that on November 27-29 in Istanbul there would take place the Synod of the Ecumenical Patriarchate, which is to approve the text of Tomos for the Orthodox Church in Ukraine.
This information has been received by the Chairman today early in the morning. The text is to be signed by all the members of the Synod. This signing shall give the go-ahead for convening an all-Ukrainian archbishop unifying council to be called in early December.
“In close connection with the Ecumenical Patriarchate we work over establishing the Unified Local Orthodox Ukrainian Church. Let us keep our wool on waiting for this historic decision,” concluded the Ukrainian Parliament Chairman.
