The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Andriy Parubiy discussed  further cooperation with the delegation of the Atlantic Council, headed by its Executive Vice-President Damon Wilson

During his meeting with the Atlantic Council delegation led by its Executive Vice-President Damon Wilson, the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Andriy Parubiy expressed his interest in further fruitful cooperation with the Atlantic Council to promote the Ukrainian-American collaboration and implement a range of projects in support of reforms, humanitarian, educational and economic initiatives in Ukraine. The head of the parliament stressed that "the United States is a key strategic partner of our state, and our relations are developing steadily covering a wide range of areas of interaction".

It was noted that first of all this is in regard to the challenges associated with Russia's aggression against the Ukrainian state and Russia's attempts to oppose itself to the whole democratic world.

Andriy Parubiy suggested that "authority, intellectual abilities and discussion platform of the Atlantic Council could be very useful in promoting issues of priority of the bilateral relations and disseminating of unbiased information about Russian aggression as well as in the development of the Ukrainian state".

The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine emphasized that Ukraine is consistent in its actions aimed at strengthening democratic institutions and the rule of law, fighting corruption, modernizing its economy and infrastructure.

In his turn, Damon Wilson stated that the Atlantic Council "is ready to cooperate with Ukraine, and at the Council we all do understand that the battle for Ukraine that unfolds is not just a battle for Ukraine, but a battle for the fate of the entire free world".
