The Chair expressed his confidence that the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine would strengthen Ukraine’s course towards joining NATO and the EU by the end of the current convocation of parliament

Speaking at the XIII meeting of Ukraine’s foreign diplomatic missions heads, Andriy Parubiy, the Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, expressed his certitude that the Ukrainian Parliament would strengthen the course of Ukraine's accession to the North Atlantic Treaty Organization and the European Union until the end of the ongoing convocation.

The Chairperson of the Parliament feels convinced that the changes to the Constitution of Ukraine regarding consolidation of the Euro-Atlantic and European integration aspirations of the country can actually be made before the end of the current parliamentary term.

“I am sure this idea should be implemented, and I fancy we shall be able to finalize upon the issue by the close of the term,” said the politician.

Once again, the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada stressed that Ukraine's key direction was the Euro-Atlantic path, in particular, the country's accession to NATO and the European Union.
