I congratulate you on the Independence Day of Ukraine! On the 27th anniversary of our national statehood restoration!
Yes, I am saying ‘restoration’ - since in its modern history the People of Ukraine did first proclaim its sovereignty a hundred years ago – in 1918.
For certain I know, having hardened in the struggle for independence, revived the state, building and protecting our country, our people will live free and in dignity. In a single and indivisible, strong and thriving Ukraine. At all times.
Like a thousand years ago, a soldier of Ukraine holds today the shield of Europe firmly at the eastern front.
Thank you very much, knights of Ukraine, defenders of the free world!
Independence is our common supreme value, the principal guarantee for the security and free development of every Ukrainian, the basis and pledge of the might and prosperity of our state.
