“We are ready to contribute greatly to the inflow of the French investments and enterprises in Ukraine," – Andriy Parubiy at a meeting with the President of the French National Assembly Francois de Rugy

During his official visit to the French Republic, the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine A.Parubiy met Francois de Rugy, the President of the French National Assembly.

At the start of the meeting, the Chairman thanked Francois de Rugy for the sanctions France had launched against the Russian Federation. “European integration is for us a key issue in the international policy of the state.  On our pathway to European integration, the international support of France is very important for Ukraine," said A.Parubiy.

In this context, the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine drew the President’s attention to the fact that returning the Russian delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe was impossible until the Russian Federation would liberate the occupied territories of Ukraine.

"Any amicable attempt to negotiate diplomatically Putin treats as weakness.  Therefore, any advances with the aggressor are very dangerous," said the Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada.

A.Parubiy pointed out that the European Union had been primarily based on shared values, and that’s why the French colleagues would put the values ??above economic interests.

The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine called on the French businessmen "to move away from participation in the disreputable and unpromising project Nord Stream 2, switching to the Ukrainian market". According to A.Parubiy, the Ukrainian Parliament is making all efforts to improve Ukraine’s investment climate.

“We are ready to contribute greatly to the inflow of the French investments and enterprises in Ukraine," underscored Andriy Parubiy, having added he had recently signed ratification papers for purchase of military helicopters made in France.
