The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine called on all countries of the free world and their citizens to boycott the FIFA World Cup in Russia and warned Ukrainian citizens and citizens of civilized countries from traveling to Russia
Opening a plenary meeting on Friday, the Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine A.Parubiy called on all countries of the free world and their citizens to boycott the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.
“Next week the 2018 FIFA World Cup shall kick off in Russia. The world championship should be a great sporting holiday, which fans of football are waiting for. But, unfortunately, the champ is taking place in Russia, the state which continues its aggression against Ukraine, Moldova, and Georgia".
"I urge all countries of the free world and their citizens to boycott the FIFA World Cup in Russia. I strongly warn Ukrainian citizens and citizens of civilized countries against traveling to Russia, because there is a real danger of being captured by the Russian terrorists," said A.Parubiy.
