The Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Andriy Parubiy is going to pay an official visit to Latvia (Riga) on December 12-13.
The programme of the visit provides for a range of meetings -- with the Speaker of the Saeima (the Parliament) of the Republic of Latvia Inara Murniece, the President of the Republic of Latvia Raimonds Vejonis, with the Minister of Defence Raimonds Bergmanis. A working dinner is also scheduled with the Vice-Speaker of the Saeima.
The Ukrainian Parliament’s Chairman shall lay floral tributes to the monument of T.Shevchenko in Riga. Planned is also another laying of flowers to the Monument of Freedom together with the Speaker of the Parliament of the Republic of Latvia Inara Murniece.
The programme also offers a visit to the Museum of the Occupation of Latvia 1940-1991 and an interview to Latvian mass media.
