Official closure of the Fiftieth General Assembly of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (PABSEC) took place at the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
PABSEC President, the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Andriy Parubiy closed the meeting and handed over the chairmanship to the Albanian Speaker Gramoz Ruci for the coming six months.
The next 51st meeting of the PABSEC General Assembly shall take place in Tirana (Albania) on June 20-21, 2018.
On November the 30th, there took place the third sitting of the PABSEC General Assembly. The Assembly was chaired by Liudmyla Denysova, the PABSEC Vice-President, Head of the UA Permanent Delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation.
On the second day of the Plenary Session of the Fiftieth PABSEC General Assembly, Zoltan PEK, Vice-Chairman of the PABSEC Cultural, Educational and Social Affairs Committee and member of the PABSEC Serbian Delegation, presented the Report on “Social Protection and Benefits for the Young Families in the BSEC Member States”.
The Recommendation 160/2017 on the same subject was presented by Ozcan ULUPINAR, Chairman of the PABSEC Cultural, Educational and Social Affairs Committee and member of the PABSEC Turkish Delegation. The Assembly discussed and approved the Report and Recommendation on “Social Protection and Benefits for the Young Families in the BSEC Member States”.
Ramazan CAN, PABSEC Vice-President in charge of Financial Matters and Head of the PABSEC Turkish Delegation presented the draft Budget for the Financial Year 2018, which was adopted by the Assembly. The Assembly decided to set up the Draft Budget and Auditing Commission, which will prepare the Draft Budget for the 2019 Financial Year and the Auditing Report for the 2017 Financial Year.
Andriy PARUBIY, PABSEC President and Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, addressed the gathering at the Closing Ceremony of the Plenary Session of the Fiftieth PABSEC General Assembly.
“For us, this has been the singular honour of chairing the PABSEС, the organization that displays its efficiency at being the inter-parliamentary political instrument capable of structuring a full-fledged regional dialogue,” stressed the Chairman.
