Dear Fellow Compatriots!

It has four years passed away as the then pro-Russian president of Ukraine Yanukovych had a try to force Ukraine under the colonial knee of Russia. In response, a severe rebuff was delivered by the people of Ukraine to have then given a spur to the Revolution of Dignity.

The Maidan changed the national history drastically at the time. In that cold days of November of 2013, did there begin the irreversible mental de-occupation of Ukraine, our definitive deliverance from and breakup of the country’s subordinate and dependent yesterdays. Since then no one would ever be able to humiliate Ukrainians. And this is for good and all.

The free people of Ukraine -- committed and brave patriots, men and women of various trades, crafts and origins, speaking different languages, had crowded the streets and – united! - worked wonders with the room to their will, dignity, freedom and justice.  The room, the place, or even the space of, as history proved, unconquerable and imperishable power. The Maidan has inherently embodied, in a fairly vivid, bright and striking way, the dream for a new, modern, just, united and invincible Ukraine, the one we are at large striving to build up and spread throughout the country, step by step, coming through resistance of the past times and repulsing raids of the Northern aggressor.

Superficially, there could be made sort of collation between the Revolution of Dignity and the Ukrainian Revolution of 1917-1918 years. The younger change of regime, in acute contrast to the hundred-year-old revolutionary overthrow, has in spite of all things protected the sovereignty and statehood of the country, and has made entire Ukraine – the state and the society – by far and away stronger.

In the grip of fire, swamped with snow, the Maidan has shown to the whole world there is indeed a paramount and absolute value for the struggling people – it’s their Independent State of Ukraine. We do all well remember the loss of own state a hundred years ago triggered off the dreadful all-out assault by the Russo-Bolshevists which then brought millions of deaths topped with the Holodomor Genocide.

Not only struggle against the then Yanukovych puppet regime the Revolution of Dignity was. We fought for the future of our country, we fought for dignity and our values, and we fought for a safe and decent life to all Ukrainian generations, and, in fact, for the civilized choice of the entire people of Ukraine.

Strengthening of our sovereignty allows us to live and build up our own state. The only footing and pledge of security, wellbeing and development for every single citizen of Ukraine is the sovereign and independent state.

We all are taking now profound bows of eternal glory to the Heavenly Hundred Heroes fallen and to those Ukrainian soldiers who died in the struggle for Ukraine’s independence in the war with the Russian aggressor. Let their boundless love to Ukraine, self-sacrifice and heroic efforts perennially flag up our pathway forward!

Glory to Ukraine!

Glory to the Heroes!

Tomorrow is ours to win!
