‘The NATO PA Spring Session 2020 shall take place in Kyiv’ – Chairman of Parliament Andriy Parubiy
A terse comment was given by the Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine about the 2020 news. “It is my strong belief, there are things of importance and there are things to devise a strategy. Ukraine’s NATO membership is one of these strategy-forming things”.
It is a thing of tremendous significance that the NATO PA has discussed and supported the Chairman’s spring proposition in Tbilisi to have a regular North Alliance PA’s meeting in Kyiv.
It was also stated that after adoption of the NATO membership as a state priority for Ukraine, there have been “great expectations for a signal in return”.
According to A.Parubiy, the NATO PA Standing Committee’s solution to hold a regular 2020 session in Kyiv is “the apt feedback and an important sign full of symbols from our allies in the North Atlantic Treaty Organization”.
The Chairman of
the Parliament expressed his sincere thanks to “a big friend to Ukraine” Paolo
Alli, the NATO PA President, and to the Ukrainian parliamentary delegation to the NATO PA
for “a literally titanic work done for the sake of our mutual success in Euro-Atlantic
Integration”.
“Ukraine is sure to be in NATO!” stressed A.Parubiy.
