Parliament’s Chairperson congratulates Ukrainian warriors on the Day of the Special Operation Forces
Fellow soldiers!
I am honoured to greet you on the Day of the Special Operation Forces. I am pleased and proud that it was exactly the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of VIII convocation which gave birth to the Special Operation Forces in 2016. Formation of the Forces was dictates of the time. It is the proper and timely response to the hybrid warfare Putin’s Russia is waging on Ukraine.
It was my privilege to have a hand in making this vital decision in the history of the Ukrainian armed forces.
The people at large have no chance to learn your deeds from the mass media, since a mere lack of needless noise does feature your low-key operations. Through your activities which are unique by nature and skills, you are selflessly bringing the victory near.
The rise of the Special Operation Forces has proven to be a grave part of Ukraine’s arms reforms moving us nearer to NATO standards, as accession to the Alliance is of high priority in our state foreign policy.
Thank you for your self-sacrificing and difficult job. I am so proud to wish you and your families a sound health, fireside comfort and welfare. The Victory will be ours!
