Opening the Tuesday plenary session, A.Parubii, the Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, reported that today’s agenda covers several clusters of issues.

The first set is on access features of persons with special educational needs to educational services.

The next issue is mass media and advertisement. The core of the set is the audio-visual media draft bill aimed at protection of our national and linguistic space.

The Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine appealed to MPs ‘to support this bill providing a 75% Ukrainian language quota for the nation-wide channels, and the 50% quota for the regional channels’.

The 3rd set of bills relates to ecology, being quite important in view of European integration.
