Festive ceremony
of handing over Peace Light of Bethlehem took place at the session hall of the
Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. Representatives of the Plast National Scout
Organization of Ukraine brought it to the Ukrainian Parliament.

"Spreading the Light from Bethlehem is a Christmas-eve tradition in many countries," Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada, Andriy Parubiy, said.
He noted that this year, passing the state budget for 2017, the Verkhovna Rada envisioned financial support to Ukrainian youth patriotic organizations. Parubiy noted that scout organizations, in particular, the Plast National Scout Organization of Ukraine, bring up patriotic citizens ready to defend their motherland.
The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada thanked Ukrainian scouts for their voluntary activity.
