The parties discussed organization of a year of Japan in Ukraine, implementation of reforms and deepening of cooperation between the peoples of the two countries.
Parubiy noted that holding of the said events would be very important in the light of better Ukrainian society' awareness of Japan. He also noted the importance of reforms in conditions of the Russian aggression.
In turn, Mr. Ambassador welcomed high level of cooperation between the two countries and stressed the importance of further deepening of, in particular, nuclear cooperation. Shigeki Sumi supported the idea of Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada to hold regular meetings with the G7 ambassadors. He also praised the process of e-declaration in Ukraine.
