Andriy Parubiy discusses current relations between state and church with Primate of Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church Sviatoslav

On Wednesday, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada, Andriy Parubiy, met with Primate of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church Sviatoslav (Shevchuk).

The parties discussed a number of issues touching Polish-Ukrainian relations.

Andriy Parubiy noted that the Church actively assists the two peoples in finding ways to mutual understanding within the unleashed conflict in terms of vision of the joint history.

The participants in the meeting also discussed the role of the Church and its ability to settle these issues and improve the situation inside of the country.

Andriy Parubiy thanked the Primate of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church for active humanitarian assistance and the chaplain mission implemented by the Church in Donbas.
