Within the framework of a meeting with Head of the EU Delegation to Ukraine, Hughes Mingarelli, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada, Andriy Parubiy, said that Ukraine hopes that all required internal procedures touching introduction of visa-free regime by the European Union will be finalized not later than in October.

Parubiy welcomed the activity of the European partners for their commitment to supporting Ukraine on its way to European integration and expressed gratitude to the European Parliament Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs for its support for introduction of visa-free regime for Ukraine.

According to Andriy Parubiy, Ukraine has launched reforms following the desire of the Ukrainian people to join the European Union and thus, it hopes for deeper cooperation with the EU.

In turn, Mr. Mingarelli highly appreciated the "ambitious program of reforms" implemented by the Ukrainian authorities.

The parties also noted the key role of the Ukrainian Parliament in particular, in adoption of the laws on energy market, export-import issues, prospects of full introduction of e-declaration, reformation of the public management sector, introduction of a Roadmap on internal reform and capacity building of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.

Mr. Mingarelli added that the EU Delegation to Ukraine works to help Ukraine solve all existing issues and shares experience of the European countries in building democratic society.

The parties also confirmed mutual interest in development of strategic relations between Ukraine and the EU.

Parubiy congratulated Mr. Mingarelli on his appointment as the head of the EU Delegation to Ukraine and wished him success on the position.
