He said Ukraine has condemned such actions of the Russian Federation.
In his comments on the official Statement of the
Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on denunciation of results of the elections to the
Russian Parliament and on declaration of the Russia's legislature illegitimate,
the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada noted that by holding the said elections,
the authorities of the Ukraine's northern neighbor placed in question the
legitimacy of their legislative body.
Andriy Parubiy added that Ukraine has addressed international organizations and foreign parliaments requesting not to recognize results of the elections to the State Duma. He informed that parliaments of many European countries have already taken their decisions not to recognize the elections held in the Russia-annexed Crimea.
