Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine A. Parubii presented journalists who work in the area of anti-terrorist operations with badges of merit of the Verkhovna Rada -  for significant contribution to the development of the national information space, objectivity and impartiality in covering events of socio-political and socio-economic life of the state, patriotism and courage shown by the performance of duty, and on the occasion of the Day of journalist.

"Being in a combat zone, I was impressed by the courage showed by the journalists: they reached people with truth about how our guys heroically defend our Motherland", - said Parubii. He recalled that since the beginning of military operations in the area ATO nine journalists were killed, five of them - at the forefront. "Journalists have been at the forefront and answered with dignity to challenges of the war", - said Parubii. He stressed that "the information component of the fight against the aggressor is no less important than military power."

Andrii Parubii thanked journalists for victorious work and for their contribution to the victory.
