Opening the plenary session of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on Thursday, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Andrii Parubii said: "Today we expect, without any exaggeration, a historic day. The day when we adopt the amendments to the Constitution in the part of the judiciary and the judicial system." Chairman of the Parliament noted that it is a matter of national security.
"Whatever reforms we do - they are beat against corrupted courts. Today in Ukraine there is the lowest confidence in courts. According to the Razumkov Center - 81 percent of citizens do not trust the courts. This is one of the worst rates in the world”. - said Andrii Parubii and added, referring to colleagues – “We have a chance to change it all. "
Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada said that the people’s deputies came back from the prayer breakfast, where representatives of all faiths were praying, that is for people’s deputies would have the strength and wisdom in approval of decisions.
"Dear colleagues, I believe that we will have enough strength and wisdom for making extremely important decisions for Ukraine and may God help us", - concluded Andrii Parubii.
