On Thursday, Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Andrii Parubii congratulated the people's deputies on Day of Vyshyvanka [Traditional Ukrainian Embroidered Shirt]. He reminded that the tradition first emerged upon an initiative of students of the Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University in 2006.
"Vyshyvanka — our national pride. It is a symbol of our national identity," the Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada said.
