Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Andrii Parubii has said that the e-petition to the Ukrainian Parliament touching the draft law "On professional education" has finally received 25,000 votes of our citizens. "A total of 25,323 Ukrainians have requested the Ukrainian Parliament to support the governmental draft law "On professional education" (registered under No. 3231). I am confident that this indicates the growth of trust in the Ukrainian legislature," Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Andrii Parubii said opening the plenary meeting on Friday, April 22.
"Article 32 of the Law "On citizens' appeals" obliges us to consider this issue," Parubii said.
However, the Chairperson of the Ukrainian Parliament said that "as a result of its recent reformatting, the Cabinet of Ministers has recalled a number of its draft laws, inter alia the draft law No. 3231, which actually received 25,000 votes of our compatriots."
"We address the Government, the Prime Minister of Ukraine to submit this draft law for consideration of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. I know that respective work is currently underway," Parubii said.
"We are eager to see this draft law, to be able to consider this document in the walls of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine as soon as possible as it received whole 25,000 votes," Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Andrii Parubii said addressing Education and Science Minister of Ukraine Liliya Hrynevych and added: "The issues of education are of top-priority for us. You will feel the support of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and we hope for a very close cooperation."
