The Committee on Environmental Policy, Use of Natural Resources and Elimination of Consequences of Chornobyl Disaster recommends that the Parliament supplements the Agenda with the Bill on Amendments to Clause 33 of the Law "On Hunting Sector and Hunting" (re Regulating the Population of Great Cormorant) and adopts it as a Basis

The Bill (Reg. No. 5283) treats the great cormorant as the animal, shooting and entrapment of which can be performed in a non-hunting season or in the prohibited places if the licenses of corresponding bodies are available.

The Bill sets the legal grounds for culling the great cormorant, since its population reached a critical environmental limit in several regions.
